Where did the name come from?

Something we found important to incorporate into our name and products was dedication to the meaningful 'beings' in our world. 

Clarence + Murphy, our name. 

Our Name is a blend of nostalgia and manifestation. When our founder Claire was in primary school, it was a very meaningful time in her life, full of happiness, humour and core memories. The nickname Clarence evolved from an inside joke with her classmates and teacher and has stuck with her ever since. Her nearest and dearest call her Clarence and it is her favourite nickname out of them all. 

Murphy on the other hand is a nod to the power of manifestation and creating a life of happiness. Our founder built C+M after a whirlwind of a year, leaving her to audit her life and understand exactly what she saw her future to be. That future was full of flowers and her side kick dog. If Claire were to ever invest in being the mother of a beautiful Poodle X Border Collie (yes, this is manifesting people!!) she would want to work for herself to be around her dog majority of the time, and she would name this doggo Murphy. 

The Henry Bunch. 

The Henry Bunch is named after our founders nephew who seems to be obsessed with pink. When he came into this world a mere 7 months ago, it was a life changing experience that Claire would never forget. This experience marked a new level of commitment in friendship and remapped the way she knew life. Everything our founder does is to ensure she is a better human for her friends, her nephew and her family. Our pink bunch also signifies the power of motherhood and how strength can be found in the most brutal times. Pink is not just a soft, feminine, girly colour. It is striking, bold and wonderful, just like all of the mothers in our lives. 

The Scarlett Bunch 

The Scarlett Bunch is named after a very special person who is no longer with us. Her light and bright personality lives on in this world through so many elements and is never forgotten. Scarlett taught our founder bravery and that to be different to others is a triumph, a special gift and something to be celebrated. A kind heart to everyone around her as a child, the impact she has had is so big that our founder only wish she knew. Well, we know that she knows, because she is with us!
